Meet Jacob

A lifelong Pittsburgh resident, Jacob has called the North Side home for all of his life. Raised in a hardworking family, he learned early the values of teamwork, grit, and community - values that continue to shape every aspect of his personal and professional life.

Jacob is a proud graduate of Oliver High School and earned his Associate’s Degree in Science from CCAC, He understands, like many Pittsburgh residents, the importance of having options when it comes to education. Jacob earned a Class A CDL through CCAC’s Monroeville Trucking School - including Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. His background as a heavy equipment operator and soon-to-be union shop steward gives him firsthand insight into the infrastructure and workforce challenges Pittsburgh faces.

Public service isn’t just something Jacob talks about — it’s something he lives. Jacob currently manages Northside Action News (NAN), and helps manage the Allegheny County Emergency News notification page, reaching more than 51,000 members. As a longtime journalist and photographer Jacob has built connections across Pittsburgh’s communities and beyond, with stories that have reached national and international audiences.

In times of crisis, Jacob is one of the first to step up. After recent storms knocked out power to many Allegheny County residents - some for days - he organized the distribution of over 1,000 meals and MREs with the Salvation Army, making sure those impacted had what they needed to get through the aftermath.

Jacob’s campaign is grounded in real-world experience - in public safety, emergency management, infrastructure, and community service. He is ready to bring that experience to Pittsburgh City Council District 6.

Together, Let’s Fix Six.

An example through service

When the power went out from the storms, I didn’t wait for someone else to fix it - I worked with volunteers. We rolled up our sleeves and got to work. Whether it was handing out hot meals or helping neighbors charge their phones from a generator in the back of my truck, I’ll always be right there with my community, leading by doing.
